Workshop Number 1                           Luggage Set This workshop includes a regular sized suitcase and train case or makeup case. Workshop Number 3                                  Floral Arrangement in Urn               Participants will make Bird of Paradise, Red Anthurium, Liatris, Yellow Asiatic Lillies, Red Carnations, and a variety of foliage.  Flowers and foliage are a combination of punched and handcut shapes and other items. These will be assembled in an ornate urn (resin, supplied). Kit will contain a clear plastic box in which to take home the arrangement. Workshop Number 4                   Bedroom Room Box This room box, suitable for a bedroom scene, is approx. 16" wide by 12* deep and 12" high.  The box is made of gator board with cherry wood trim to accept the acrylic front. Also included is cherry baseboard. The lid of the box will be pre-wired for 5 lights, which are included along with a transformer to operate the lights.  Participants are required to provide their own interior and exterior wall coverings and floor finish. Workshop Number 5     1/4 Scale Boudoir in Decorative Frame The wallpapers are "Brodnax" treated with a peel and stick backing, and are pre-cut.  The box will be constructed of wood.  Students will cover the exterior in black velveteen. Instructor will provide all furniture, fabric and paints. Workshop Number 6                 Murphy Bed and Wall Unit The working "Murphy" bed with wall unit is constructed of cherry wood. A variety of door configurations are offered; solid glass, one of each, etc.  The piece is electrfied, with a light mounted behind the decorative piece at the top of the central bed portion of the unit. Workshop Number 7                         Painted Armoire Students will paint a trompe l'oeil scene on a wood armoire, provided by the instructor. (The armoire may be a different style than the one shown in the photo, but the painted design will be the same.) Workshop Number 8                   Cherry Display Case Students will construct a cherry wood with cherry veneer and glass display box.  The class will include staining and glazing techniques. The inside dimensions are: 9 inches wide, by 7 inches deep, by 9 inches high.  The kit also includes a decorative "carrying handle". Workshop Number 9                   Lovely Lady Gets Dressed Dress a pretty lady, posed to sit on the side of a bed or on a chair. She is wearing lace trimmed panties and slip. Students can choose from pink or soft white silk for the underwear. You will also add a negligee (not shown) to complete the look. She will be pulling on her stockings, and the class will include some simple to make slippers. Students will assemble the doll from the kit stage to the finished doll. A choice of wig colours will be available. Learn the technique of dealing with a sitting doll- not just a bent standing body. If time permits, we will add silk roses and ribbon bows as decoration.  If you can sew a straight seam, you can do this project. Workshop Number 10      Handsome Gent in Smoking Jacket Students will construct a lined smoking jacket wth contrasting collar and cuffs, and trousers from a selection of fabrics.  You will also make slippers for him for comfortable lounging at home. Workshop Number 11 "Casual Elegance" Wicker & Wood Canopy Bed with matching Bed Bench Take wicker off the front porch and bring it into the bedroom, give it a dressing of a fabulous Dupioni silk, and you've got a piece that will give you the "wow" factor.  On the first day,you will learn to blend two mediums in one piece - wood and wicker. You will learn how to stain both a rich dark brown. You will also learn some upholstery techniques while making a matching end-of -bed bench.  On the second day, you will learn to work with Dupioni silk, dressing the bed and draping the canopy. Workshop Number 12 Room Box with Built-In Fish Aquarium The room box is all wood construction, framed with side hinge for easy access and magnetic closing. Students will do diffused overhead lighting, lay cherry hardwood flooring, do a crackle finish on the frame. Wallpaper, paint, mouldings are all supplied. Students will create a realistic built-in fish aquarium. Room will be completed ready to be furnished. The box is 12 inches square and 6 inches deep; frame is slightly bigger. Workshop Number 13 Three Containers with European Chocolates Students will create three very European and sumptuous looking chocolate containers. One larger box with mixed shapes and "flavours" of chocolate, 1 smaller, long, narrow clear-topped box of "snowflake" chocolates (picture not available) and 1 hexagon-shaped "glass" bowl of bon-bons.
