Saturday  Full Day  Workshops

 REGENCY LADY WITH PARASOL

Instructor:  Joy Parker                                           Price: $75

Dress a beautiful swivel-head porcelain doll in very fine cotton trimmed with lace. The doll will already be made, but without the arms attached. You can choose from 'straight' or 'bent' arms, or one of each if you wish. She wears leather boots or silk slippers - again, your choice. Her underclothes are trimmed with 100% cotton eyelet and she is finished with silk ribbons. You can add a Regency bonnet- pattern, fabric and instructions are supplied.  The wig is made from a kit. The sewing is all straight seams and is not difficult. This workshop is designed so that the doll will be dressed by the end of the day.   Tools Needed

1/2" SCALE DISPLAY WINDOW

Instructor:  Lori Ann Potts                                       Price: $145

This project is quite amazing in that all of the pieces have been cut by a professional model builder... all of the miters have been pre-cut and all of the painting has been pre-done for the students.  In class you will be assembling the structure, learning the lead tape method of stained glass, and aging/landscaping the exterior.

It comes as shown without the interior accessories. Also included is an acrylic cover.

95% completion is expected in this workshop. It is for all skill levels. If you wish to purchase other articles as seen in the train case, they will be available for an additional $10.00. They are a book, handkerchief, necklace, bangle and eyeglasses in a hand-crafted leather case.

CHIC BOUTIQUE

Instructor:  Bob Francis                                          Price: $95

Then they will complete the small roombox of a 1/4 scale ladies' boutique and finish the cast resin pieces from Mustard Seed Miniatures - tall mannequin, shirtwaist bust, hat stand, jewelry display and framed mirror.  If time allows, students will work on finishing items for the displays such as a hat, shawl for the shirtwaist bust, jewelry, etc. - and as always, surprises may occur during the class.

GRANDFATHER CLOCK

Instructor:  Christina Dierckx                                     Price: $ 75

Students will make the clock from an original kit design. The clock is constructed of cherry wood and will include a working timepiece. The clock may be stained, but is equally as nice with just a coat of varnish.
