PAPHIOPEDILUM ARRANGEMENT

Students will learn how to make
and arrange different flowers and plants out of acid free paper. The kit
includes material to make allium, paphiopedilum orchid, caladiums, rattlesnake
leaves, evergreen leaves and curly willow. Students will learn veining
techniques, colouring/painting and shading, and have the choice of 4/5
different caladium colour leaves. Also, techniques of professional flower
arranging will be shown.

1897 SILK
TRAVELING CAPE AND MUFF

a velvet covered shaped hanger and creating a faithful
reproduction of an 1897 silk lined and fur trimmed cape with a co-ordinating
muff. The joys and pitfalls of working with silk, as well as
the technique of draping fabric in miniature will be covered.

ASSORTMENT OF FLOWERS

Students will be using 'Makin
Clay', an air dried polymer clay, to make several different flowers.
Roses, poppies, violets, small geranium and leaves of various shapes will be
created. Also you will make lilacs from Bunka.
The picture shows a floral
arrangement, but these flowers could be used for making a garden, trellis
planter, individual plant pots or other floral creations.

LADY SLIPPER ORCHID

The students will
construct and then paint a pre-cut kit for this class. The
painting will add the individuality to make this project yours.
Everything will be supplied. If you have a particular paint colour that
you would like to use, feel free to bring it to this class.
Otherwise, just come and enjoy the process. No previous flower
experience is needed.
