Registration:
Registration for the Gathering is from 3:30-5:30 pm in the alcove just off the lobby, between the lobby and Regency Ballroom, where most of the weekend events will take place.

At this time, you'll meet your Team of World Famous Detectives , receive your table seating assignment for Saturday Lunch and Dinner and Sunday Lunch, and get any refunds owing to you.

Bring your Exchange Gift, Gathering Helper and Centrepiece to hand in at the Registration area. (If you brought a display, keep it in your room until Saturday afternoon.)

Friday Night Supper:
Supper is in the Regency Ballroom between 5:30 and 7:00.  It's buffet style, so come when you like and sit where you like.

Artisan set-up
If you're participating in the Artisan Sale Room (in the Garden Court, which is to the right of the lobby) you can set up your sales table any time between 3 and 6 o'clock.  After that, the room will be locked until the Artisan Sales start at 9:00.  (You will be able to close down your table at 11:00, when the sales room is finished.) Meet and Greet
7:30 - 9:00: Meet and greet and announcements in the Regency Ballroom, some mysterious challenges, and some exciting draw prizes.

Artisan Sales
9:00 - 11:00: Artisans Sales in the Garden Court. As always, we have a wonderful line-up of Artisans selling their handcrafted items at the Artisans Market on FRIDAY NIGHT ONLY.

7:00 – 8:30: Breakfast. Buffet style. Sit where you like

8:45-12:15: Saturday Workshops, with a mid-morning break. There will be a UFO (UnFinished Objects) table if you just want to bring your own projects to work on.

12:15-1:30: Lunch – assigned seating

1:45-5:00: Saturday workshops continued

5:00 – 6:00: Display room set-up. Take your displays to the Caraway Room. Get changed for Cocktail Hour and Dinner

6:00 – 7:00: Cocktail Hour. There will be prizes and Surprises.

7:00 – 9:00: Banquet. Assigned Seating. Bring your table gifts to share if you have some.

9:00-9:30 – Sunday Workshop Kit Sales

9:00 – 11:00 Display Room and Consorting with Known Miniaturists.

11:00: Display room closes. Remove your displays promptly (or else Bob gets to keep them).

7:00-8:30: Buffet Breakfast. Sit where you like

9:00 – 12:00: Sunday morning workshops, Round Table Kit Workshops

12:15-2:00 (approx): Lunch – assigned seating.

Announcements of prizes and Gathering Helper Winners and Next Year's Gathering

The Doll House and Train Emporium , 100 Peter Street in Port Hope, will be open for you to visit before and after the gathering.

EXCHANGE GIFTS
You bring one, you get one. Exchange gifts can be anything miniature, or miniature-related, handmade or bought, with a suggested value of at least $20.

Drawing for the Exchange gifts will take place at meals throughout the weekend.

TABLE GIFTS
It has been a tradition on Saturday night to exchange small gifts with the seven other people at your table. While a value of $3 is suggested, most are handmade items which are valued by the recipients as a wonderful reminder of the Gathering.

Giving is optional.

CENTREPIECES
We will have intriguing centrepieces at many of our meals, for everyone at each table to enjoy and one lucky person to win.

CANCELLATIONS

• Cancellations before April 17, 2009: we'll refund your registration fee, minus a $25 admin fee.
• April 17 to April 20 - amount of refund is at the discretion of the hotel
• April 21 or later, no refund can be made.
  (that is, if the Hotel receives notice after 3:00 pm on Tuesday, April 21, 72 hours before the event)
• To avoid bank charges, please do not put a stop payment on your cheque.

From Ottawa: Highway 7 west towards Peterborough, where it turns into Lansdowne St (7B). Then turn right (north) onto George Street till you get to the Holiday Inn, on right hand side.

From the west: Hwy 401 east, exit at 115/35, north. Stay on 115 as it goes east towards Peterborough. Exit at The Parkway, go north to Lansdowne St, then turn right, east on Lansdowne to George St. Left (north) till you get to the Holiday Inn, on the right hand side.

From Port Hope : Hwy 28 (Ontario St) North to 115/7, turn east. Exit at The Parkway, go north to Lansdowne St, then turn right, east on Lansdowne to George St. Left (north) till you get to the Holiday Inn, on the right hand side.
